Greetings all,
   
  As some of you already know I will not be able to continue as shire fencing marshal when my term is out - for mundane reasons that boil down to my becoming reliablly unreliable for a while. That being said, nominations for Shire officers for the new year are now being taken (it actually started already). So, if you're a warrented marshal and are willing to tote the loaner gear to practice and do a bit of paper work please get in touch with Valgardr or post directly to the shire's main email list.
   
  While I'm at it, this is a good time to say a thank you to everyone who's helped me pull off the job for the last year - which is just about everybody in the fencing community here. You folk, and our fellow fencers 'round the kingdom, are the best part of fencing in SCA for me, and it's been a pleasure. I still look forward to fencing practice more than just about anything else every week, and the people are the reason. So, thanks again.
   
  Be assured, potential future shire marshals, that you'll have all the help you need for the asking.
